Lit yellow candle in an Easter setting with eggs and pussy willow branches

Easter by Candlelight

At Easter, light is more than a decorative touch. It is one of the celebration's most powerful symbols. During the Easter Vigil, the Paschal candle, symbolising the risen Christ, is carried into a dark church. Other candles are lit from it. First darkness, then a single flame, then light spreading further: a simple, moving image of hope.

Perhaps that is why a candle feels so natural in the home at Easter too. Beside decorated eggs, cress and spring branches, its light lends the table a sense of occasion.

A candle becomes part of the celebration, helping create its atmosphere.

Wishing you a bright and joyful Easter 🐣
